Assessments: Assessments are payable in advance or on the day of the assessment.
Single Procedures: Single procedures are payable in advance or on the day of the procedure.
Ongoing Nursing Services: Private nursing services are payable in advance in accordance with the applicable quotation, invoice and service agreement.
Medical Aid Accounts: Where services are authorised or claimed from a medical aid, the patient, client or responsible person remains responsible for amounts not paid by the medical aid, including applicable shortfalls or rejected claims, subject to the service agreement.
Ongoing nursing services require seven (7) days' written notice of cancellation. The client or responsible person remains liable for nursing services and applicable charges during the notice period, subject to the service agreement and applicable law.
Where cancellation results from the death or hospitalisation of the patient, any cancellation charge will be dealt with in accordance with applicable consumer legislation.
Clients are requested to notify Caressa Nursing Care Services as soon as possible if an assessment or single procedure cannot be attended or must be cancelled. Where a cancellation charge is applicable, it will be reasonable and determined with regard to the nature of the service, the notice provided, costs already incurred and the ability to reallocate the booking.
Where payment has been received for a service that is subsequently cancelled, any refund due will be determined after taking into account services already rendered, reasonable costs already incurred, any lawful cancellation charge and any other legitimate amounts due on the client's account.
If Caressa Nursing Care Services is unable to provide a prepaid service and no acceptable alternative arrangement is made, the amount attributable to the service not rendered will be refunded, subject to applicable law.
Approved refunds will be made to the original payer or through another verified payment method where appropriate.
Fees are charged in accordance with the applicable tariff, quotation or invoice. Additional nursing services, procedures, consumables or other chargeable items requested or required during the course of care may be billed separately.
By booking, paying for or making use of Caressa Nursing Care Services, the client or responsible person acknowledges the applicable payment, cancellation and refund terms together with the relevant service agreement.
These terms are intended to operate subject to the Consumer Protection Act 68 of 2008 and other applicable South African law. Nothing in this policy is intended to limit a consumer right that may not lawfully be limited.
